Early Wake-Up Call: The sunrise trip to Kelimutu starts very early (around 4:00 AM). Prepare for a cold morning and bring warm clothing.

Light Trekking Required: A short walk (approximately 30 minutes) is needed to reach the lakes from the parking area. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Weather Can Vary: The highland area can be foggy or rainy, especially during the wet season (Nov–Apr). Visibility of the lakes may be affected.

Simple Accommodation: Lodging in Moni is basic but comfortable. Hot water and electricity may be limited in some guesthouses.

Pack Smart: Bring a flashlight/headlamp for the early morning trek, personal toiletries, and a raincoat or umbrella.

Itinerary Flexibility: Visits to optional sites (e.g., Wologai Village or local market) depend on available time and flight schedules.

Flight Timing Advice: It is recommended to book an afternoon flight on Day 2 to allow enough time for the return drive from Moni to Ende.
