Itinerary:

Day 1: Airport or Hotel Maumere – Wuring Village – Sikka Old Church – Moni

Arrival at Frans Seda Airport or pick up in the Hotel Maumere

Visit Wuring Village, a traditional Bajo fishing village on stilts

Stop by the historic Old Church of Sikka, a relic of Portuguese missionary history

Continue driving along the scenic southern coastline to Moni village

Check-in and rest at a local eco-lodge
Overnight in Moni

 

Day 2: Kelimutu Sunrise – Blue Stone Beach – Bajawa

Early drive to Mount Kelimutu to witness sunrise over the three-colored crater lakes

Return to the lodge for breakfast

Long but scenic drive to Bajawa, with a stop at Nanga Penda’s Blue Stone Beach
Overnight in Bajawa

 

Day 3: Bajawa – Bena Village – Malanage Hot Spring – Aimere – Ruteng

Visit Bena, a traditional Ngada village with megalithic culture and ancient architecture

Relax at Malanage natural hot spring

Stop in Aimere to see traditional arak (palm wine) distillation process

Continue to Ruteng for a short orientation
Overnight in Ruteng

 

Day 4: Ruteng – Cancar Spider Web Rice Field – Denge Village

Morning visit to Cancar village to see the iconic Lingko rice fields shaped like a spider web

Drive to Denge village (base before Wae Rebo), passing scenic mountain roads

Rest and prepare for the next day’s trek
Overnight in Denge or nearby lodge (Wae Rebo Lodge)

 

Day 5: Trek to Wae Rebo Village – Cultural Experience

Morning trek (approx. 2.5–3 hours) through lush forest to reach Wae Rebo

Traditional welcome by the local community

Explore the village and learn about Mbaru Niang (traditional cone-shaped houses)

Enjoy lunch and cultural immersion
Overnight in Wae Rebo (inside traditional house)

 

Day 6: Wae Rebo – Labuan Bajo

Early morning descent back to Denge after breakfast

Drive through south coastal road and highlands toward Labuan Bajo

Drop-off at your hotel in Labuan Bajo

1. Booking & Payment

Reservations must be made at least 14 days before departure (earlier is recommended during high season).

A 30% deposit of the total cost is required upon booking to secure the reservation.

Full payment must be completed no later than 7 days before departure.

Payments should be made via bank transfer to Naren Komodo Tour’s official account and will be confirmed via digital invoice.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations made 15 days or more before the trip: 70% refund.

Cancellations made 7–14 days before the trip: 50% refund.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the trip or no-shows: no refund.

Refunds will be processed within 7 working days.

Rescheduling is allowed once only, with notice given at least 10 days before departure and subject to availability.

3. Itinerary Changes

The itinerary may change due to weather, road conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Naren Komodo Tour reserves the right to adjust the route or schedule for the safety and comfort of guests. No refund will be provided due to changes caused by external factors.

4. Participant Responsibility

Guests are responsible for their own belongings during the trip.

Participants should be physically fit, especially for trekking activities (e.g. Wae Rebo trek).

Respect for local customs and traditions is required. Modest clothing is recommended, especially in traditional villages.

Drugs, excessive alcohol, and dangerous items are strictly prohibited during the tour.

5. Organizer Responsibility

Naren Komodo Tour is responsible for the safety, accommodation, transportation, and smooth operation of the tour while under our guidance.

We are not liable for lost personal items, flight delays or cancellations, or extreme weather conditions beyond our control.

Losses or accidents caused by participants’ negligence are not the responsibility of the organizer.

6. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in this package.

Participants are strongly advised to have personal travel insurance that covers health, trip interruption, and minor accidents.

7. Force Majeure

In case of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, pandemic, or government regulations affecting the trip), the tour may be postponed or rerouted.

No full refund is given for force majeure situations, but we will assist in rescheduling or offering alternative solutions.

Important Notes:

The Wae Rebo trek requires moderate physical fitness. The hike takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours uphill through forest trails. A small backpack with essentials is recommended for the overnight stay.

No phone signal or internet connection is available in Wae Rebo. Electricity is limited and typically only available for a few hours in the evening. Bring a power bank if needed.

Accommodation in Wae Rebo is traditional and communal, with guests sleeping together inside the main traditional house (Mbaru Niang). Please respect the quiet and sacred atmosphere of the village.

The highland areas (Moni, Bajawa, Ruteng, and Wae Rebo) can be chilly at night. Warm clothing such as a jacket and long pants is essential.

Roads across Flores are winding and long. Motion sickness medication is recommended for those sensitive to long drives.

Facilities in rural and mountainous areas are basic, and hot water may not always be available.

The best time to take this tour is during the dry season (April to November). However, sudden weather changes can still occur—please bring a light raincoat.

Itinerary and travel times are subject to change based on weather, road conditions, or local events. Guest safety and comfort will always be the top priority.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and suitable clothing, especially for village visits and trekking activities.

When visiting traditional villages, please observe proper etiquette, ask before taking photos, and dress modestly out of respect for local customs.
